Challenge Course Guidelines

How does it work?

- Ninjas will compete within their age bracket on a single course, performing one at a time, where there will be 10 or more individual obstacles to overcome that will be scored.

How is it scored?

- Scoring is based on completion of each obstacle as well as time.

- Examples

- If there are 10 obstacles and a ninja successfully completes 6 obstacles but falls on the the 7th obstacle (using all of their retries), the scoring will end showing a completion of 6 obstacles and the clock will stop, documenting their final time.

- If a ninja is successful at 8 obstacles, but the time expires at three minutes, their scored turn will end at obstacle 8.

-If there is still time on the clock after their scoring turn has ended, ninjas are allowed to continue to pursue the course within the three minute time limit.

Is there a time limit to complete the course?

  • Yes! Ninjas have three minutes to complete the course. Whether they have fallen and their scored turn has ended or they have been successfully moving through each obstacle, ninjas have within three minutes for their duration on the course.

Can I retry an obstacle if I fall?

- Yes Ninjas are allowed a total of two times to retry for the duration of the entire course.

- With each retry, there is a five second pause on the clock to reset any obstacle that needs it, the clock will continue after that set time.

- If after the two retries, the ninja is not successful at completing the obstacle, the scoring ends with the last completed obstacle and final time.

- Once the two retries have been used, the scoring for progress through the course ends.

What happens if I fall and have used all my retries, am I still able to finish the course?

  • Yes, ninjas will be able to continue along the course within the constraints of the three minute time limit per ninja.                 â€‹â€‹
